Well what a cracking summer!   The weathermen said August would be good and it has been.  England are worrying the Australians at cricket and we seem to have found our 'new Ian Botham'!

I've just organised a 5 day natural horsemanship clinic in Hertfordshire which seemed to down well with all the 20 people who brought their horses along: brilliant tuition from Jayne Lavender (visiting from Australia) and Charles Wilson (from North Yorkshire) ensured everyone was learning all the time.  We had a series of talks at lunchtimes from guest speakers whose subjects ranged from Animal Aromatics to Bowen Therapy for horses - lots of useful information to be absorbed.

This natural horsemanship is fascinating stuff - my husband went on a riding holiday to Morocco earlier this year and was riding Arab/Berb stallions across the High Atlas Mountains and over the desert to Marrakech and when his horse broke free the ride leader (a Berber tribesman) used exactly the same tactics to catch the errant stallion as we learn to use when our horses at home won't be caught.  So the truly knowledgeable horsemen know this stuff but not all have the nous on how to market it!

If you're interested in exciting riding holiday in remote (and not to remote) locations then visit the website of unicorntrails.com because they have some super holidays available all over the world.

Here in East Anglia there is a keen group of people who believe in natural horsemanship in its widest sense and we're running a series of days to explore what can be done to facilitate our horse's care.

If you want to advertise your horse with us remember that a one-off payment of £20 will see him on the web until he's sold - just print off the form and pop it in the post with a photo and your cheque and see him on the internet within 24 hours of us receiving it!

If you have any news or shows you want us to advertise please drop us a line (no more than 50 words), preferably via email, though faxes are also welcome (01525 719701), and we'll gladly put it on our site to get it to the widest possible audience.

Next year we're looking to sponsor some classes at shows around the country again, so if you see us there please come and say hello and give us your thoughts on how we can improve our site - we really would welcome your comments.

We've got a link on the site now to Sculpture to Wear which is run by Rosemary Hetherington who designs the beautiful 9 and 18ct gold jewellery featured on the site and I would thoroughly recommend you have a browse around all the gorgeous things that she designs and makes.
