Heavy horses were rescued after the war by a few determined individuals who recognised the threat that the various breeds were under and set up a breeding programme which successfully kept the numbers up and ensured that Britain was able to maintain some of the finest lines of the working heavy horses. Now seen more often at big agricultural and country shows than working the land they always draw an appreciative audience of admirers keen to see them dressed up in their finery pulling drays and carts.
Heavy horses will be appearing on this site soon so please revisit again in the future. whether your interest is to admire them or you want to buy one this is the place to look.
